Ongoing project documentation and hand-ins

During the project you are expected to provide two explicit hand-ins, the proposal and the final report, as well as maintaining an on-going web page documenting your incremental progress.

Project proposal

  1. Hand in hardcopy of the report.
  2. Submit electronic pdf or postscript copy of your manuscript: try c340 proposal [file1 file2 ...]
  3. In email communication with the instructors include a link to your project WWW page. Put "c340 project 'project name'" in the subject.

On-going documentation on your project web page

We suggest (but do not require) that you maintain a project web page and up date it as you make progress on your project. We will use this www page as a reference when advising and answering questions. Start your www www page with:
  1. An electronic html copy of your proposal (can be generated by latex2html from latex source, or saved as html in many other editors)
  2. A reference list to material (on-line, books and other resources) you plan to use.
Then as the project progresses update it with your progress, and eventually the final report.
