Help Desk
Contact the Help Desk. Report system problems.
Who do I contact if I need help or if I miss a deadline?
- Difficulties understanding a conceptual issue (e.g. "what's the difference between a static variable and an instance variable?"). Talk to your instructor via e-mail, during office hours or by making an appointment. Instructors answer questions relating to the lecture material, exams etc.
- Missed exams (midterm, lab exam or final exam). Read the Excused Absences section of this web site.
- Missed lab exercise and assignment deadlines. See the Excused Absences page of the web site.
- Comments/questions about course administration, content or structure. Contact the course coordinator. The course coordinator can also be contacted if you have questions about other issues and have already contacted the appropriate person, but would still like further assistance.
- Questions about the lab material, contents or specifications (e.g. you're having problems understanding a lab exercise or assignment issue). Contact your TA, or the lab instructor or attend TA consulting hours.
- Problems/questions regarding lab administration (e.g. your TA failed to turn up for your lab). Contact the lab coordinator.
- Problems/questions
regarding grades and marking:
- Midterm and final exam results - please direct such concerns to your instructor
- Lab exam results: please contact your lab exam grader directly (this is not necessarily the same person as your weekly TA). If you are not satisfied with the response you receive you should then contact the lab instructor, and finally the course coordinator
- Lab exercises and assignments - please contact your TA first. If you are not satisfied with the response you receive you should then contact the lab instructor, and finally the course coordinator
